The bone had an attachment point for a “uniquely human” muscle, the ﬂexor pollicis longus, that had previously been found only in more recent ancestors. That muscle gave Australopithecus robustutJ an opposable thumb, a feature that would allow them to grip objects, including tools. The researchers also found primitive bone and stone implements, especially digging tools, in the same layers of sediments.
Australopithecus robustus were more heavily built- more “robust” in anthropological terms-than their successors. They had broad faces, heavy jaws, and massive crushing and grinding teeth that were used for eating hard fruits, seeds, and ﬁbrous underground plant parts. They walked upright, which would have allowed them to carry and use tools. Most experts had previously believed that Homo habilis were able to supplant Australopithecus robustus because the former’s ability to use tools gave them an innate superiority. The discovery that Australopithecus robustus also used tools means that researchers will have to seek other explanations for their extinction. Perhaps their reliance on naturally occurring plants led to their downfall as the climate became drier and cooler, or perhaps Homo habilis, with their bigger brains, were simply able tomake more sophisticated tools.

Here are five tips to help you be ready for the Listening section:

Take notes while you listen. Only the major points will be tested, so do not try to write down every detail. After testing, notes are collected and shredded before you leave the test center.
Pay attention to the speaker’s tone of voice. For instance, whether the speaker sounds excited, sad or confused can help you answer questions that are about the speaker’s attitude or opinion.
When listening to a lecture, make note of the way the lecture is organized and the way the ideas in the lecture are connected. Referring back to your notes will help you answer questions about overall organization.
If you are unsure of the correct response, try to figure out which choice is most consistent with the main idea of the conversation or lecture.
Listening questions must be answered in order. Once you click on OK, you cannot go back to a previous question.

A. PENGARUH TI DAN AUDIT BERBANTUAN KOMPUTER

Audit berbantuan komputer berpengaruh dalam kinerja auditor itu sendiri. Salah satu pengaruh utamanya kepada auditor adalah dalam mengerjakan dan memberikan opininya atas laporan yang telah di audit. Pengalaman auditor yang diperoleh melalui pelatihan audit ini akan meningkatkan ketelitian serta mendapatkan pengetahuan baru dalam pemeriksaan audit. Ketelitian yang tinggi menghasilkan laporan audit yang berkualitas sesuai dengan permintaan klien dan menunjukkan kinerja auditor yang baik. Sehingga memperkecil kemungkinan salahnya laporan audit.

B. PROSES AUDIT BERBANTUAN KOMPUTER

1) Tahap Perencanaan Audit

Setiap audit menghendaki cakupan audit disesuaikan dengan tujuan audit. Pentingnya cakupan audit adalah untuk memahami organisasi dan departemen pemrosesan data yang akan diaudit.

2) Survei Pendahuluan

Survei pendahuluan ini membantu auditor untuk mengidentifikasikan problem area dan operasi ini penting untuk kesuksesan pengauditan departemen pemrosesan data.

3) Tahap audit Terinci

Tahap audit terinci meliputi:

a) Fungsi pengorganisasian pemrosesan informasi.

b) Praktek dan kebijakan sumber daya manusia.

c) Pengoperasian komputer.

d) Pertimbangan pengembangan dan implementasi sistem.

e) Penerapan sistem pengoperasian. Kelima faktor ini penting dan perlu dipertimbangkan.

4) Pelaporan

Laporan audit didistribusikan kepada manajemen dan dewan audit. Isi laporan ini bervariasi sesuai dengan tujuan manajemen.

APLIKASI AUDIT BERBANTUAN KOMPUTER

a) IDEA (Interactive Data Analysis Software)

Software audit yang dapat digunakan untuk membuat rekonsiliasi, investigasi kecurangan, internal/operational audit, pemindahan file, mempersiapkan laporan manajemen dan analisis-analisis lainnya, termasuk menelusuri security log.

b) APG (Audit Program Generator)

Meninjau daftar pengungkapan dan tingkat kepatuhan terhadap perpajakan. Hal ini dapat membantu auditor memastikan bahwa laporan keuangan memenuhi semua unsur pengungkapan dan bahwa perusahaan klien telah mematuhi peraturan perpajakan yang berlaku.

c) Microsoft Excel

Microsoft Excel sebenarnya hampir sama dengan software GAS yang lain, yaitu setelah file data diimpor atau disalin, maka selanjutnya dapat dilakukan pengolahan/manipulasi data sesuai keperluan audit yang dilakukan, tentunya dengan menginputkan formula-formula yang diperlukan.

TAHAPAN PROSES AUDIT

Menurut Rob Reider yang dialihbahasakan oleh Agoes dan Hoesada (2009: 146), tahapan audit operasional terdiri atas:

1. Tahap perencanaan (planning)

Tujuan dari tahap ini adalah mengumpulkan informasi tentang bidang operasi, mengidentifikasi kemungkinan adanya masalah dalam bidang operasi tersebut, serta sebagai titik awal untuk mengembangkan dasar program kerja audit operasional.

2. Tahap program kerja (work programs)

Tahap program kerja menguraikan secara terperinci apa yang harus dilakukan untuk memperoleh informasi yang dibutuhkan sehingga dapat diperoleh suatu temuan pemeriksaan dan memberikan rekomendasi perbaikan.

3. Tahap pelaksanaan kerja lapangan (field work)

Tahap ini merupakan tahap dimana langkah – langkah kerja yang telah ditentukan dalam program kerja dilaksanakan atau direalisasikan. Pada tahap ini, auditor harus mengumpulkan serta menganalisis bukti – bukti atau informasi yang cukup untuk mendukung dan menyajikan temuan pemeriksaan.

4. Tahap pengembangan temuan audit dan rekomendasi (development of findings and recomendations)

Selama pelaksanaan kerja lapangan, auditor mungkin menemukan dan mengidentifikasi kekurangan (deficiency) yang secara keseluruhan dapat mempengaruhi jalannya perusahaan. Auditor harus mengembangkan unsur-unsur temuan audit untuk meyakinkan manajemen bahwa terdapat kekurangan atau penyimpangan sehingga perlu dilakukan tindakan koreksi sesegera mungkin.

5. Tahap pelaporan (reporting)

Tahap pelaporan merupakan tahap akhir dari kegiatan pemeriksaaan. Laporan tersebut bertujuan memberikan informasi yang bermanfaat dan tepat waktu atas kekurangan yang berpengaruh terhadap kegiatan operasi perusahaan dan merekomendasikan perbaikan. Laporan pemeriksaan juga berguna untuk mengomunikasikan hasil dari pemeriksaan kepada pemimpin.

JENIS AUDIT

1. Operational audit, terkonsen pada efisiensi dan efectifitas dengan semua sumberdaya yang digunakan untuk melaksanakan tugas, cakupanya meliputi kesesuaian praktik dan prosedur dengan peraturan yang ditetapkan.
2. Compliance audit terkonsentrasi pada cakupan undang-undang, peraturan pemerintah, pengendalian dan kewajiban badan eksternal lain yang telah diikut.
3. Project manajement and change control audit,(dulu dikenal sebagai suatu pengembangan sistem audit) terkonsentrasi oleh efesiensi dan efektifitas pada berbagai tahap pengembangan sistem siklus kehidupan yang sedang diselenggarakan.
4. Internal control audit terkonsentrasi pada evaluasi struktur pengendalian internal.
5. Financial audit terkonsentrasi pada kewajaran laporan keuangan yang menunjukan posisi keuangan, aliran kas dan hasil kinerja perusahaan.
6. Fraud audit adalah nonrecurring audit yang dilaksanakan untuk mengumpulkan bukti untuk menentukan apakah sedang terjadi, telah terjadi atau akan terjadi kecurangan. Dan penyelesaian hal sesuai dengan pemberian tanggungjawab.

RESIKO AUDIT

1. Risiko bawaan (Inherent risk) merupakan kerentanan asersi terhadap salah saji (misstatement) yang material, dengan mengasumsikan bahwa tidak ada pengendalian yang berhubungan. Risiko salah saji (misstatement) seperti itu lebih besar dalam beberapa asersi laporan keuangan dan saldo-saldo atau pengelompokan yang berhubungan daripada yang lainnya. Risiko ini dipertimbangkan pada tahap perencanaan audit. Sebagai contoh, perhitungan yang rumit lebih mungkin disajikan salah jika dibandingkan dengan perhitungan yang sederhana. Akun yang terdiri dari jumlah yang berasal estimasi akuntansi cenderung mengandung risiko lebih besar dibandingkan dengan akun yang sifatnya relatif rutin dan berisi data berupa fakta.

2. Risiko Pengendalian (Control Risk) merupakan risiko bahwa suatu salah saji yang material yang akan terjadi dalam asersi tidak dapat dicegah atau dideteksi secara tepat waktu oleh pengendalian perusahaan. Risiko ini merupakan fungsi keefektifan perancangan dan operasi pengendalian internal dalam mencapai tujuan entitas yang relevan untuk menyusun laporan keuangan entitas. Beberapa risiko pengendalian akan selalu ada karena keterbatasan yang melekat pada pengendalian internal.

3. Risiko Deteksi (Detection Risk) merupakan risiko bahwa auditor tidak dapat mendeteksi salah saji yang material dalam suatu perusahaan. Risiko ini merupakan fungsi keefektifan prosedur audit dan aplikasinya oleh auditor. Hal ini sebagian muncul dari ketidakpastian yang ada ketika auditor tidak memeriksa semua saldo akun atau kelompok transaksi untuk mengumpulkan bukti tentang asersi lainnya.

Tata Kelola TI adalah suatu cabang dari tata kelola perusahaan yang terfokus pada sistem teknologi informasi (TI) serta manajemen kinerja dan resikonya.

Hal ini mengakibatkan masyarakat menjadi lebih bodoh.

Namun, perubahan yang positif juga terjadi pada kehidupan bisnis dan manajemen perusahaan. Banyak perusahaan yang menggunakan sistem otomatisasi kantor untuk kegiatan sehari-harinya. Seperti contoh, jika dulu banyak perusahaan yang menggunakan surat yang dikirim lewat pos, sekarang perusahaan dapat mengirimnya lewat teknologi e-mail.

Perubahan lainnya juga terjadi pada sektor produksi. Banyak perusahaan manufakur yang menggunakan sistem ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), sebuah sistem yang membantu melakukan pencatatan, perhitungan, dan pendistribusian informasi ke berbagai macam divisi di perusahaan. Sehingga proses manajemen perusahaan dapat berlangsung lebih cepat dan lebih terstruktur.

Kekurangan-Kekurangan yang dimiliki oleh MYOB adalah:

1. Tidak mendukung bahasa Indonesia.

2. Format default untuk mata uang adalah Dollar.

3. Tidak support multi-OS.
